And the blues.
East definitely the better conference  but the West's playoff race is much tighter.
The 8 east teams are practically locked in barring a huge collapse.
Cbj 10 points behind Washington for 2nd wildcard. Boring.
blues wouldn't have a spot because cgy and avs would push 2 teams out, st louis wouldn't be in the mix and neither would the bruins [by 1 pt]

😬, you guys got this. Only 12 more pts.
Does that mean the east is better? Not so sure, as of yesterday, 13 of the 16 teams in the west have winning records. Where as the east only has 8 of 16 teams with winning records, seems like the top 8 can beat up on the little guys alot more since they play them twice as much(7 of the bottom 10 are in the east)
https://www.espn.com/nhl/standings/_/view/vs-divisionColorado's record has to say something, more success against west vs east
It doesn't seem as simple as this many teams have winning records, I'm not saying anything conclusively but I would assume that if a group of 'playoff' teams are steadily beating the rest of the teams in the conference that would make them superior but somehow this raises doubt?
