He is coming of a shoulder injury and is only 26. Possibility he has not hit his peak yet.

I would have preferred in the 6mils as well.
Thinking this means Canucks accepting lots of guys are leaving in free agency, so just pay Hronek a little more before he hits arbitration.

I don't think we should sign Zadorov unless he takes a massive discount. Which I can't see happening. Even 4.5m is a bit too much for someone playing btwn 4/5. Rather they just sign Dillon who's a lot older but brings similar size and physicality, while creating more flexibility on the roster in the future. He's also a proven 4/5 guy, whereas we are hoping Zadorov continues to develop into consistent playoff Zadorov who can eventually play top 4 minutes.

I'll be happy if Guentzel decides to sign here and Petey will finally have a top 6 winger to play with. Sign vrana for 850k - 1m too for speed and another top 6.

Guentzel will likely get closer to 10 mil and I just don’t like the term we would likely have to give him as well at his age.
Big fan of the Dillon idea to replace Zadorov. Much cheaper, may not have the ceiling of BigZ but just knowing he will be consistent each night is huge

I don't think he will be able to get 10m avv, unless it's a 5yr deal or he doesn't mind joining a bottom feeder team for max term.

Competitive teams will most likely try to bid around 9 to 9.5m avv, 6/7yr range imo.

If jake gets 10m aav id be surprised i expect him to get something arround 7.5-9m aav on a competitive team and he will get more on a non competitive team
