Hedman (lower body) was on the ice for the team's morning skate Saturday and took part in a few drills, Damian Cristodero of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Spin: Hedman has been out since leaving the team's December 5 game, but is slowly easing himself back in. Though he is back on the ice right now, the estimation is that he is still about a week away from returning.
Hamilton (lower body) has been ruled out for 2-4 weeks, Amalie Benjamin of the Boston Globe reports.
Quick (groin) skated briefly during Thursday's session, Helene Elliott of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Spin: VP of Hockey Operations Jeff Solomon described Quick's activity as an "initial controlled skate," so it still doesn't seem as though an activation from IR is imminent for the goaltender. The Kings have been getting by just fine with Ben Scrivens and Martin Jones and won't rush Quick back until he's recovered completely from the groin strain.
Tanguay (knee) indicated he was feeling better Saturday but remains without a timetable for his return, Adrian Dater of the Denver Post reports.
Spin: Coach Patrick Roy suggested last week that Tanguay had suffered a serious setback last week in his recovery from the injury, but it appears things aren't entirely as dire as they once appeared. While Roy didn't want to throw out a possible return date for the forward, it sounds like the team is optimistic he could return to practice soon. Once that happens, expect a firmer timetable to be hashed out.
GM Ken Holland said Howard is dealing with a Grade 1 MCL sprain and will be out for two-to-four weeks, Chuck Pleiness of the Macomb Daily reports.
Wisniewski (upper body) may return next week, says the Associated Press.
Neuvirth will play in a game with AHL Hershey on a conditioning assignment this weekend to test his injured right ankle, Katie Carrera of the Washington Post reports.
Spin: Neuvirth resumed practicing last week, and it appears he has progressed to the point where he can appear in a game. If things go well this weekend, Neuvirth would likely return to the Capitals at some point next week
