tbh neither looked that great throughout the entire preseason  morin has looked better delz has had some ups and downs but  i think with a guy like that you give him some time  and he can  steady up his game hes proven he can play at a high level
if morin sticks around its delz as 7th and schultz in ahl/8th  ghost will be getting  prop top line mins in the ahl and  1st pp unit  which would  be better for him developing and dealing with players that are stronger and more skilled then  what he faced at union

im excited about the ahl team this year though  leir laughton cousins straka  ghost hagg  stolarz  some good prospects it might actually be a winning team this season

and blair jones hasnt looked too bad either i wouldnt be surprised if he gets a deal when the season starts

Flyers agree to terms with Nicolas Aube-Kubel
has 2g1a in 3 gp so far on val dor  and had 6g 7p in 4 preseason games

About neither MDZ or Ghost looking good in the preseason...

Offensively, Ghost looked great all preseason. And when we looked at him as a NHL player, we knew he was weak defensively, but on the offensive side, he was natural(A lot of this is due to him moving from W to D). He just needs to work on becoming not good at D, but solid. He doesn't need to be a Chara or Pronger. He doesn't have the size to be that. He just needs to work on the defensive positioning that he couldn't learn in NCAA.

I see him as a Torrey Krug / Tobias Enstrom sort of D-man

Or an Erik Karlsson

Both 5-11, Karlsson is about 10 pounds heavier, but the weight will come and they are both natural scorers

Morin sent back to the Q. Were rumours of making a trade to open a spot for him, but I guess that isn't happening now

i know ive prob watched him more then u i even watched him in the frozen four hes great offensively but he lacks defense he gets pushed off the puck to easily and cant do much to get it back against nhlers
he needs to improve his D hes not a big guy hes fast and needs to get really good in his stick kinda like timo is and the best way to do that is in the minors on the 1st line
idk if you watched yesterday either but delz looked pretty solid and morin was scratched so im not sure whats going on there but idk if sending morin back to jrs would be good for his development

We had a lot of conversations about him throughout training camp… he opened some eyes,” said Hextall. “In the end we felt it was the right thing to do and we’re extremely excited about Sam. The kid had a great attitude, I probably sat with him for about a half hour.”

In his discussion with Hextall this morning, Morin took the news well and even asked if he could be back to Rimouski in time for their game vs. Shawinigan in the evening

thats good to see hes not mad about it and seems ready to go play in the q
too bad we got 7 d signed or else he would prob be sticking around lol
after palying 20 mins a night in preseason vs nhlers the jrs prob be easy for him i almost wish he was 20 n could go ahl instead but then again in jrs he gets to stay away from ahl goons

I'm disappointed. He would have brought something fun to look forward too.

for sure and if he was good enough which it seemed he was i think he woulda developed far better then a year in the jrs will do for him
ah well atleast it looks like we made a good pick with him there was other d avail that iirc were higher ranked but seems like they made the right choice with morin
hopefully delz steps his game up cuz if not we basically sent down morin for delz and schultz as a 7th who was fuckin horrible in the preseason i much woulda rathered see morin and delz as the 7th fuck schultz
