Turris and Hammond gone, Duchene in

I feel like Dorion is not very good at trading and he always gives up a little too much.. See the Burrows trade, the Stalberg trade and even the Condon trade where we gave up a 5th round pick for a goalie who was on waivers not too long ago. But the results have been there so far and most players he acquired have really helped the team. We got to try to win in the next few years while we still have EK.

Anyway, I'm happy we landed Duchene I always loved him as a player and even though we gave up too much in my opinion, we didn't give away any real important pieces ( well except Turris ofc ).

Duchene is a direct upgrade on Turris, what I'm very concerned about is that in the next 2 years, we will need to re-sign Duchene, Stone, Brassard, Karlsson.....

We will absolutely have to move Bobby or Phaneuf somehow, we don't have money to buy them out

Um... this might be one of the worst trades ever for Ottawa.

It cost you a recent 1st rounder, a future 1st rounder and 3rd rounder to "upgrade" from Turris to Duchene? LOL

I think Duchene is a massive upgrade from Turris personally. But yeah, we gave up too much imo. Maybe switch that 1st rounder to a 2nd and it would have been fine imo.

Duchene is a big upgrade honestly.

I just don't know how we will sign everyone...
