I think they'll just use him and let his contract expire. When he was sheltered and played 5/6 role he was basically a premium 3rd pair dman. Ever since soucy got hurt, it forced more minutes for myers cuz juulsen and co. Are much worse if not the same. Unless they sign bear and find another RHD, I don't think myers will be dumped or traded.

Game last night was exciting but holy hell the player coverage was so bad, like how can they let 4 high danger chances out of 8 shots in the first period? Njd are fast, but I don't think speed killed the team, rather players not covering their man costed them this game.

Kuzmenko needs to really get his shit together. Bruce was the perfect coach for him, but he seems to not agree with Tocchet. It's alarming that he's ignoring what Tochett wants him to do, and just doing his own thing. Like Tocchet wants 30s shifts for his players so they can go 110% when on the ice. Kuzmenko stays minute or longer each shift, which fucks up the line changes, momentum, and he doesn't have much gas to do shit anyway. Probably why Tocchet benched his ass cuz the dude is trying to force more toi

yeah Kuz wants to pull a Kovalev, ain't gonna work with Tocchet.

[Jeff Paterson] Tocchet says too many examples of Kuzmenko not being the first guy in on the forecheck and the trickle down is his linemates get confused and out of position because they're not sure where they're supposed to be

I hope he responds, struggling to score is one thing but to ignore coach and fucking up the team for selfish reasons is another. If he keeps doing it, fuck it, rather see pdg or pods on the roster. At least they won't fuck up the system

I'm on the boat that Kuz is what he is. Not gonna change his game this deep into his career. Of course he should at least follow instructions but he'll always be the guy trying to be smarter than everyone and make the big play. With Boeser having hands again he's pretty redundant.

Still tough to sit him though, unfortunately we have too many low skill wingers that just can't make up for Kuz. If only Garland could shoot at anywhere other than the logo.

Friedman says teams have called on kuzemenko. I doubt he's getting traded though, unless some gm has a huge hard on for him and offers something absurd like a 1st + top4 RHD.

Glad the Canucks are able to close out games and take the ugly wins. Undisciplined penalties like too many men and lazy slashing almost costed them this game. Joshua earned his contract in the last minute of the game with that sick board battle.

Even tho it was close I wasn't too worried about the performance, we were the better team throughout and even a series of boneheaded mistakes couldn't throw the game. Probably win a rematch 9/10 times.

Imma be in person for the Bolts game, hope it's a banger

Meanwhile, Islanders keep losing and can't hold their lead for the win. They're playing a lot like the Canucks did last season with Bruce, when we were up few goals but didn't matter cuz we knew they'd throw the game in the end. I guess horvat brought that experience to NYI. They lost several games that way, most notably to the sjs

Lol also canucks not gonna be bidding for bear since too many teams are interested and apparently offering more money. Caps are interested. Bears nice to have, but only if he was like 1m to 1.5m range, fine with alvin pulling out and not overpaying for him.

would be nice to have Bear on the lineup so that Juulsen isn't a top 6 option. but RHDs are always at a premium even if they cap out as a #5.

Great to see some familiar faces from times past tonight. Even though we didn't win I will always remember the good memories from 2011. Touching Bobby Lou tribute. Love these type of games.
