Hronek debuts tonight, apparently they'll try playing him with Hughes.

Christian Wolanin signed on a two-year, two-way contract extension.
Well deserved.

Hronek looked real good.

Need to see what he can do vs better team but it's nice to have another dman with a brain

A better defense and Demko playing like he used to.

I wouldn't get too excited. Still massive depth problems. After Hronek it's all bottom pairing or worse quality. Likewise upfront. A few players get hurt and we're basically fielding an AHL team. $20M on Boeser/OEL/Myers means lots of magic needed to make the team competitive at all over 82 games.

If canucks make playoffs next season, it's cuz pacific is a joke lol
Although, this season shoulda been the easiest to make it, considering the amount of games flames couldn't win with all those 1 goal loss

I think Myers can be dumped after his signing bonus is paid.

OEL we are stuck with forever. Boeser has been putting up more points lately but I still don't think he is good enough to be a top 6 as he has had countless chances to prove he could be and failed.

If Boeser keeps playing half decent maybe you can move him. At his current contribution against his cap hit he is a net loss, so just take what you can get.

Heard rumors of buying out OEL and just taking the huge cap penalty on the chin. Don't like the idea.

I think that is the primary reason not to get excited. Absolutely it is a weak division.

Maybe the Canucks can squeak into the playoffs next year, but even if they do it is just because they play in such a weak division.

Would probably just get stomped out in the first round anyways if I am being realistic. At this point I just want to see some playoff hockey because a full rebuild is clearly not happening.

Lolnucks missed out on both Livingstone and malinski. Hirose however may sign with the Canucks, he was Livingstones d partner.

Sucks we couldn't get a free RHD, even though chances of them becoming a top 4 d is slim. Always nice to have more depth.

Buying out oel makes no sense cuz with the cap freed up, they would have to use that cap space for a game changer.I don't see any fa worth signing for next season, and for 1 yr of window isn't worth it. it only gets worse from there, and a lot more challenging to sign Petey/Hronek with the dead cap.
They'll probably see how oel and Hronek does as a pair. Hopefully oel's foot is fully healed and he works his ass off in the summer with that gleam in his eyes. Also Sullivan thinks Miller trade may still happen in the off season, which would further not make any sense to buy oel out. I don't think it'll happen, unless the young center is at least lundell level lol.

Myers I can see being traded after his signing bonus.

Petey and Hughes were insaneee tonight, petey/kuz chemistry so dopee

hilarious that lolnucks are closer to top 10 pick than a playoff team when they have potentially 2 40goal scorers, with petey putting up 100pt pace, Dman on pace for 80pts, another forward at 80+ pts.. also with some gems to round out the bottom 6 like Joshua, Aman, PDG.

Delia/Martin really dropped the ball haa

22-year-old Belarussian goalie Nikita Tolopilo. He played 45 games in Sweden's second division this season, posting .924 SV% and 2.10 GAA. He's big... 6-foot-6, 229 pounds.

Signed for 2yrs elc. Another Ian Clark project. He's got the frame he likes haha. Looks like Delia will be gone
