We need to figure out this fucking goalie situation. Jesus Christ. Not a good aspect of the team right now. :(

the flames look uncomfortable right now, i wonder if there's something going on

there was line juggling tonight, including hudler on the second line

gotta wonder if we see Ortio very soon

the brodie injury was a major blow to this team's chemistry, Gio looks like hot garbage holding the blue line and timing passes d to d

Yeah. The entire team top to bottom has looked like they forgot to train in the offseason or something. It's ridiculous. Better get their shit figured out, slow starts are killer.

The Flames defense looks like shit, I just rewatched the game and I have to say, pretty disappointing.

There is flashes of what we know these guys can do, but they gave up on the puck way too easily. Hamilton needs to relax and stop treating his ice time as though he's the guy that has to get it done, he's good but he's still young and learning.
Gio is less than 100%, his shoting and puck movement has slowed down I think. That combined with Brodie missing has made an impact on Gio's play. Russell had the shittiest game I've ever seen him play.

The forward lines have been abysmal at times, the second line is constantly being juggled around and the first line is being leaned on even harder than normal. Our third line is right behind the second line in terms of chemistry, that being 0.

Last year they played like shit and won games, there was a reason. Last year they worked their asses off to show that they could play hockey.
This year they play like shit and lose games, because they aren't working hard. Hartley needs to wake these guys up and get them on track.

They havent had any sustained offense pressure, the defense have looked soft and the entire team has been way too easy to take off the puck. They honestly seem like they came into camp with the attitude that "we made playoffs last year we are so good" and forgot that they need to work to win. Frolik has been damn near invisible and for a 4 million dollar guy who likely cost us Hudler next year I'm pretty disappointed.

In all honesty the Oilers looked like the better defensive team lastnight, Calgary was giving up non stop odd man rushes or getting beat 1 on 1. Getting beat 1 on 1 mostly came down to work ethic and they have been lacking in that department.

Anyways, I still believe they can turn it around, hopefully getting smacked in the mouth by an 18 year old and the Oilers wakes them up.

They'll get going soon. I agree that Gio has looked really bad at times, which is really weird to watch. Brodie will be huge when he gets back. Then we can split up Dougie and Gio. They really haven't clicked yet.

Stage is set for Ortio to steal the job.

Couldnt agree more. Thats two games in a row where the opposing team scored from corners. I get that Hall tipped the puck onto Hiller lastnight but that was still absolutely horrific goal tending.
