According to this in 2011 coal was 11% of generation, i can only assume that has gone down.



I am sure that electric cars are better overall in areas where electricity is largely not renewable. (AKA not Alberta/ Saskatchewan)

However i would agree that a large caveat against their efficiency is the materials for the battery and the source of the energy we are putting in the batteries.

It's a bit like saying you save $10 by not buying lunch every day when you actually only save $10- Cost of lunch at home. (was just having this conversation haha)
