Really bad terrorist attack in Russia today. Makes you wonder about the Olympics. Won't be surprised if they have the military patrolling Sochi instead of just police. In 2012 the British did a pretty good job of hiding their military (There were missile launchers on top of apartment buildings) but I don't think the Russians will care that much.

It shouldn't be very problematic. Sochi is close to Abkhazia, which has a heavy Russian military presence. They'll probably deploy a bunch of troops in places like Dagestan and Chechnya to divert extremist activity from the Olympics.
