I just do not get why we even had a lockout.

This was a huge issue. Now the owners do no different, look at all the long term, big money deals already in place.

All teams are so terrified of UFA now they have to sign or trade them before it gets to UFA. Do not think we will see any big names on the UFA list anymore.

/e once again the players have emerged victorious imo, accept for the 2 players per team who were massively overpaid in the the first place.

Its cheaper than Brad Richards , Parise , Kovalchuk , and a few others.

Getzlaf is a top 10 , arguably top 5 center and Perry is a top 5 RW.
