Miller loses value because the team getting him won't have 2 playoff chances with that godtier contract or have the option to trade him again. However he clearly elevated his game to the next level, and the dude is on a 13 game pt steak or something and 25+ pts in that span. He's tied 6th in scoring now and he doesn't have a linemate comparable to the other top 5 scorers in the league. Also has 29pts which is the most since the all star break. So he's not losing value as a player, but for contract reasons above.

Boeser is up for a big contract next season (or he could 1 year then UFA), and Miller will be UFA at the same time as Horvat - we aren't getting any meaningful cap relief when all these things happen - Myers/Pearson will both still be in the books, with OEL assfucking the cap forever.
There WILL be big moves over this season and the next one. It could be blockbuster trades, or losing 2/3 of Boeser/Horvat/Miller for nothing next off-season.
Boeser is still rfa though, worst case they go to arbitration and the Canucks have the option to sign him to a 1 or 2 yr deal at 7.5 avv. Buys couple more years to trade him. 7.5avv for him isn't that bad as long as he stays healthy, he always was playing at a good pace but never reached it because he can't seem to play a full season. Which is also a risk he's gonna be taking if he goes to arbitration instead of locking himself to term and money. Rumors are that teams are interest in boeser but also wanna know what the term situation is before trading for him. Miller should definitely be traded, but if their extension talks go well in the summer..he might stick around... I rather alvin try to trade away inefficient players on the team like poolman, Dickinson, who get outplayed by players with min league contracts like lammiko and Schenn. Kind of hilarious that juolevi busted and their target was juulsen, yet lammiko has outperformed all expectations and is one the most elite checking line in the league with highmore and motte lmao.
