A lot of competitive and likable guys walking simply because the GM was a dumbass who couldn't manage the cap is soul-crushing no matter what. It's literally losing good co-workers due to bad management.

Retarded bounce on the first goal lol.

Disappointing to lose after that late PP but still a good job getting a point out of this one.

Sucks the Canucks couldn't win, it was actually a big game because Vegas lost to the pens prior to the game. Seemed like a game we were gonna lose being down 2-0, so ya at least they managed to salvage a point. There's 3 games left against Vegas, that will probably decide a lot of things. Dallas lost Heiskanen too..

Brendan Batchelor: Bruce Boudreau said one of the captains told him not to come into the room to talk to the team after the second period and said "I'll take care of this." Luke Schenn told us on @Sportsnet650 that the player was J.T. Miller.

What a boss, also Miller is tied 1st in pts since the all star break

Awful start, zero attention to detail.

Good pushback after that but expected vs a very tired team. Disappointing that we couldn't keep it rolling.

Massive game tomorrow. Another "must win" but this time It probably actually is.

Hopefully Vegas continues to slide. That will improve our odds.

Would love to see a team that circumvented the cap to shoehorn Eichel into the lineup fall flat on their face.

It's pretty much a must win for all these games, especially with 3 Vegas games coming up.

The problem is, we can beat Vegas, but Dallas still potentially has 8 points on us with their games in hand. Winnipeg and Anaheim are still in the mix as well :(

I'm impressed the Canucks are positive in goal differential after being -40 or something
Also the Canucks have 1 goal and allowed 1 goal more as a team than the Kings, yet we are 7pts apart. Clearly they clutched while the Canucks threw a lot of the games away early on.
Miller tied for 6th in the league in scoring GG

I think Alvin and JR are gonna sit on this deadline and see how it goes, and trade in the off season/next year. Unless a desperate team offers something absurd ofc.

Yeah this is what it's looking like to me as well.

Pretty much everyone we may have on the trade block is still under control for next year so nothing is necessarily urgent.

At this point it may be worth risking some value loss on Miller in an attempt to convince him to re-sign in the summer. Although perhaps in the summer when moves are easier to make, we might receive offers that are just as good as they are now.
