We need voter reform. Trudeau realized if he went thru with it he'd never make office again. Representation like the states is best form of democracy.
Even though they're a republic.
Having an election won or lost before votes in manitoba are even counted is NOT democratic and not a fair representation of the country.

USA isn't great either. PR system looks great. I think it's done in Europe

completely agree our system needs to be fixed.

Looking to the US for the solution is not the answer, the fact that someone can win without the popular vote makes no sense.

IMO all we need is more ridings to equalize voting power per capita.

One person should have one vote, that meaning 1 equal strength vote.

Brantford- Brant is the largest riding at 132k people
Labrador is the smallest at 27k people

that means people in Labrador have approximately 5x the voting power of people in brantford

The vast majority of the ridings with the least comparative voting power are in BC, ON, QC with some showing from calgary, edmonton

I hear all the time that the major concern voting ndp is their lack of experience in spending and budgeting... But they seem to leading in our best interests. Tough call for me personally. The more ive been focusing on my personal accomplishment s and gains.. The less i follow politics and pop culture

I've come to realize if a leader isn't trying to do what's best for the majority of the country they are poor fucking leaders. The fact that even as a first world country we still have people without food and shelter is absolutely pathetic.

The fact that we live in a first world country and people don't go and get themselves food and shelter is pathetic. Why does the government need to do that for you?

Victims of circumstance, lack of proper education, etc. Yes, people need to show accountability and take responsibility but it's naive of you to not actually take a critical look at some of these people in the situations where they cannot provide food or shelter.

So let's enable the homeless. So more ppl can decide to be...homeless. Well done dirty. You won the internet for today. And you now sound like a true socialist.

I'd like to mention, notley proposed some new big budget for subsidized housing for Alberta.

That's a strawman, there are tons of able bodied people who soak up gov assistance and welfare money. Our whole system is broken and there is far too much government involvement, if you look at government policy and control over the last 75 years it has become a system to trap tax money.

We would be more than able to feed, clothe and shelter the disabled and elderly if our money wasn't being pissed away at the top levels. I'm not talking about starving disabled people, I'm talking about starving the abled people so they actually contribute something.
