Having an election won or lost before votes in manitoba are even counted is NOT democratic and not a fair representation of the country.
completely agree our system needs to be fixed.
Looking to the US for the solution is not the answer, the fact that someone can win without the popular vote makes no sense.
IMO all we need is more ridings to equalize voting power per capita.
One person should have one vote, that meaning 1 equal strength vote.
Brantford- Brant is the largest riding at 132k people
Labrador is the smallest at 27k people
that means people in Labrador have approximately 5x the voting power of people in brantford
The vast majority of the ridings with the least comparative voting power are in BC, ON, QC with some showing from calgary, edmonton
