Christmas isn't necessarily the happiest time of the year. My kid and her mom are going to visit her (kid) grandmother who's only seen her a few times (Not the reason they're going but I'm not prepared to talk about the real reason) and won't be back till the 26th or 27th. Things in life you just have to deal with and not let them bother you. Easier said then done for most I suppose but I have ice in my veins so easy for me to block something out.

Just have to think of the holidays as nothing different than any other time of the year.

I feel ya KoJ. I lost my grandmother and mother within 2 years of each other. 2 of the 3 most important and influential women in my life. (My daughter being the third).

I visit my mom and grandma every birthday, christmas and thanksgiving and talk to them. Always feel better and worse when leaving. There sure is something to be said for TRUE unconditional love isnt there?

Hold onto the great memories and let her characteristics inspire you to be the best you you can be. That's doing her memory proud.

Thanks Tim. I'm sorry for the pain of not having your dad around anymore too. From what I can tell he did REAL good with you though. I'm sure he was very proud of the mature and good young man you've seem to grown into man.
