Why aren't you going.
She's my ex-ex-ex lol. We are actually great friends now but itll never be like "that" again. MUCH better friends than lovers. If I could've gotten time off I would've gone though. I get along great with her family.

Divorce...... he's posted a few times about it :\
Jay, feel free to come to Mich. We're celebrating on the 22nd. 25th is open and I can buy you a sexy tutu or something.
I think you'd pay me not to wear a tutu haha. Thanks for the kind but likely not happening offer though.

Christmas, for whatever reason, has always brought me down a little bit. To be honest I havent been "happy" at this time of year for a few years now, since my divorce. Hate that my kids come from a broken family. I'm not totally alone though. My 39 year old FAS step sister lives with me. I'm her "share home provider" because i'm the last family she has in this town, she doesnt live well with strangers and, well, I love her. She always took such good care of my mom when she was alive. Kind of feel like I owe her a good life. I will have my youngest son for a couple hours Christmas day (The product of my actual marriage) and he and my sister will open the presents I bought them but after that I'm shipping my step sister off to my brother in laws and just taking it easy. truthfully there's a few single people I work with in similar boats as me and I plan on having some drinks and watching cheesy old movies with them.

I hear divorced people get along well at Christmas.

Wouldn't want to comment. His post makes it seem like that's not true.
My ex wife and I do not get along, no matter how hard i've tried to form some semblance of a friendship. Some people just arent wired to maintain even a base friendship after a separation I guess. My mom always included my dad in everything growing up and I'm kind of made in the same mould. Life's too short to harbor longterm resentment IMO. As most of you know i'm very quick to flare up but i'm also very quick to let bygones be bygones and move on too.
Anyways, sorry for making this thread into a emo jay bummerfest. Just felt sad today. Actually sat in my car before work and shed a few tears. How manly is that eh?
