Just waiting for Secksi to come here and tell us good Benning and Myers are :D

I don't see how you can blame Benning for this, he brought in Garland and OEL who were the Canucks best players before this meltdown lol. The canucks highest paid players like Boeser, Petey, Bo, etc. are underperforming than expected.
Benning got Poolman too, but after he got himself suspended for 2 games and all of sudden the canucks defense are back to trash mode comparable to last season
Myers had to seperate from OEL, one of the good pairings in the league broken up cuz of poolman. Take out OEL/Myers and Hughes is back to being focused 1v10 nightly basis and become the target like last season, but sure, let's blame that on Benning and Myers for whatever reason.
Let's blame Benning on everything because we totally knew and expected that the lotto line were gonna be this bad, unless you totally knew that they would be this trash
come on brah

Right now, I would blame the players and Green more before Benning.

most fans wanted Brown fired, including myself. Now the canucks have the worst special teams in the league, while the ducks are up there. It was clearly the players not executing and not the coaching.

Gorton might be the best available option as an experienced GM, but i think he was extremely lucky with the Rangers. Fox and Panarin literally wanted to play for the Rangers, which is a gift. He won't get that luxury in Vancouver lol. Also winning the lotto for Lafreniere. His draft record is pretty trash too, only notable ones are Chytil, K'Andre Miller, Kakko, and Laffy. 2 of which were #1 and #2 picks. Perhaps he can do better with an already existing core, but idk if aqualini will hire someone that got fired for not listening to the owner

Fire the coaching and special teams staff (except goalie coach <3).

Stop hiring ex-Canucks to run things or people who had ties to the organization.

Go out and get proven winners.

Discussion on radio since after the game last night has been if the Sedins should be GM already lol... so stupid.

Go find someone proven with experience that can handle this owner and market.

It's more that Gorton built the cup winning Bruins single handedly as an interim GM over a span of a couple months.

Wikipedia:
He worked in Boston as assistant general manager for seven seasons and served as the team's interim general manager from March 25, 2006, until July 15, 2006.[2]

In his time as interim general manager of the Bruins, Gorton most notably ran the 2006 NHL Entry Draft which produced for the Bruins Phil Kessel, Milan Lucic and Brad Marchand. At the same draft, Gorton traded goaltender Andrew Raycroft to the Toronto Maple Leafs for goalie prospect Tuukka Rask.[3] Raycroft was coming off a subpar season and his two-year stint in Toronto would prove disastrous, with the Leafs buying him out of the final year of his contract.[4] Rask, meanwhile, had been selected in the first round of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft by Toronto and went on to win the Vezina Trophy as the league's best goaltender in the 2013-14 season.[5] Rask has also led the Bruins to two Stanley Cup Finals appearances; in 2013 and 2019. On July 1, Gorton signed Zdeno Chara and Marc Savard as free agents. Chara would go on to win the Norris Trophy in 2009 as the NHL's best defenseman while under the contract signed by Gorton.

He built the team that shouldnt have beat us in 2011 and he's rebuilt the Rangers into a playoff team in a very quick turnaround time.
