Yesterday was one of our best 5 on 5 games. We only won the fancy possession stats by barely a margin. Still got outchanced and by xGF/xGA deserved to lose last night.

People out where celebrating our best even strength game of the season and we were still expected to lose, lol. Not sure how this staff continues to last, nothing has changed from prior seasons even with a stronger roster on paper. Willie D was better than this, our biggest gripe on him was rolling 4 lines, not even really his systems.

Not much we can do til a proven coach gets hired or until the boys figure out how special teams work. I never seen a team that gets a powerplay, but feel like the other team is the one on the powerplay based on so many breakaway or high danger chances they get short handed

When they do get the powerplay, our pk is like here just take the goal. It's almost as if conceding to go on powerplay might actually help the Canucks more at this point. Lmao

Problem is Benning probably thinks his fate is tied to Green.

How can he explain to both the market and the owner that he has to fire his 2nd coach despite pretty much zero success over his almost 8 years here.

It'll be the final nail in his coffin. He has to hope Green can turn this around lol

Only other scenario would be Aqua allowing it and the new coach miraculously turning us around, but I don't know how realistic that is.

It won't happen, cuz aqua won't allow it. He's being cheap and saving money. Reason why benning is still here for long is cuz he's a good yes man. He finally got the players and extra depth green needed to go the next level, instead green is doing the complete opposite. When there was no depth, they shd be playing like now... When there's like 3 legit lines to roll, why are we playing like this again? Lol

Canucks pk is deadlast I think. King proved he can't coach special teams at the NHL level. Maybe at least replace him el oh el. Brown leading the ducks with 11ppg... 4 behind Edmonton I think lmao

I'd still prefer green over Willie d. I get PTSD just thinking about him.. He would definitely be playing chiasson on the 1st line for 82 games, and bench pods, hogs, garland randomly without any communication

Well we weren't good overall but I'll take the much needed points night for all the big guns.

Myers was absolutely terrible last night and OEL wasn't much better. First disaster game from that pairing after being solid for the most part thus far.

Good news: didn't get goalie'd by Gibson, outplayed 5v5 again, controlled the game mostly. Salvaged a point.

Bad news: special teams still struggling. Refs were extremely questionable this game, probably need to investigate if they were betting on the game more so than Kane huehue... That halak penalty, by far one of the worst call ever when he was right fucking there, even Getzlaf was giggling like ya... Dunno about that one bud. Then the missed too many men during OT... Ducks had 5 guys out TWICE haha its like they're mocking the fans and refs lmao

Oh well, horvat could've clutched it but Gibson saved the day as usual

Fans were up in arms at the game over that call. Rightfully so.

I Feel bad for Halak. He played quite well. Overall he has been good during the occasional starts he gets. Should be giving him more run support.

Halak has been really good, despite 0 wins and it's not even his fault. The Canucks only scored 4 goals for him in his 3 starts, he's getting the luongo treatment. Need to literally get shutouts to win games haha
