GMs are probably calling because they heard other GMs were calling. Subban's NMC kicks in on July 1 so if Montreal is gonna trade him it'll be in the next week.

It's probably something like Bergevin doesn't want to move him but people are throwing sexy offers his way and/or he's leaking that people are sending sexy offers so he can see just how far people will go if they think there's a serious chance.
