Team showed up big in first then disappeared halfway through the second. Shots went from 17-15 habs to like 17-30 knights and then back to even in the 4 minutes of 6v5. Habs need to put Tatar in and call Drouin. Vegas built too similar to us, can't grind them down need to exploit Fleury who has choked about 15 series in his career.
Yes, we did start well, but couldn't score. I found once Vegas got that first goal they didn't look back. I didn't think we really tested Fleury as the team defense in front of him didn't give up much. On to game 2!

Thats it just one game. What killed us for me was losing key face-offs in our zone which led to goals 1 and 3... I'm all for the physicality and punishing their forwards every chance they get. Although we were on the receiving end of quite a few hits lol
It seemed we had zero time and space to move the puck, always having a knight barging down on us. Overall Vegas forwards have quicker foot speed than our D, getting to loose pucks first.
First and foremost imo we gotta do a better job boxing guys out, Price was screened on the first and fourth goals. And then do a better job winning those 50/50 board battles by raising our compete level. As failing to do just that led to Knights feasting on us from the blue line. Can't let the Vegas D dictate as much as they did.
