I'm usually not in favour of messing with a winning line-up, but I see tonight as a good opportunity to get Romanov in. The kid hits like a truck and would give the Jets a taste of their own medicine.

What a brutal turnover that led to the SHG against in game 1

with gus he got good offense on the powerplay but as i saw him over the playoffs if you play him a lot of minutes
he will do a big mistake during the game that will lead to a good scoring chance
im pretty sure with romanov extra practices sessions and all the time he has been sitting out
he will be even better than what he was like during the early season and he will be able to eat some minutes to make the top 4 rest a bit more

At this point just send 5 forward on the pp, gus is useless

put phil on the blue line, he will be more useful than gustafsson for sure

That's it, Romanov can play top 4 if needed imo as Gustafson only averaging 8:45 TOI in the playoffs. Talk about a short leash and agreed would hardly consider that taking a load off the top 4. If Weber, Chiarot, Petry, or Edmundson get injured, we'll need Romanov to step up. I haven't been impressed with Merrill.
