Larsson would probably have to be involved. No way buffalo trades him for anything not involving a first and/or a good prospect, and NJD are pretty light in both.

I don't think the Devils should trade for Vanek. I don't think he'd sign with them because I seriously believe that he will sign in Minny next year. I'd actually bet money on that.

Vanek isn't worth Larsson. His contract expires this summer and by all accounts he's already told Buffalo he's got no interest in staying for a rebuild.

If the Vanek trade is more than a rumor, I really hope Lou trades at least 1 of these 3 D (Volchenkov/Salvador/Zidlicky) and Barch. Always has picks but nn overpay for a 1 year contract

Zidlicky is 1 year
Salvador is 2 years
Barch is 1 year
