The Red Wings are sending 10 players to Sochi, which ties them with Chicago and St. Louis for the most in the NHL.

Sweden: Zetterberg, Alfredsson, Franzen, Ericsson, Kronwall, and Gustavsson

Slovakia: Tatar and Jurco

Russia: Datsyuk

USA: Howard

Zetterberg will be Team Sweden’s captain. If Gustavsson plays at all, there could be times when everyone on the ice for Sweden is a member of the Red Wings.

Yea that will really help the wings injury situation barring no injuries in Olympic games. They need rest and a reset.

Wings need a real power forward.
Bertuzzi and roflcopterFranzen are not that.

1 Real power forward and 1 real #1 defenseman.

Then a goalie coach that works exclusively with howard on breakaway and puck playing lol

Only FA PF options: Ott/Boyle/Penner lol
Gonna have to be a trade if at all.
I bet bertuzzi gets another year on his deal.

Samuelsson is gone. Cleary I think is done but "dat loyalty".
I hope on hope that Mantha gets up next year. Could be a nice contributor in his rookie year.

My patience is running thin.
Wings have a decent roster but im "this" close to wanting it blown up lol
