Le Canadien de Montréal et l'attaquant Alex Belzile se sont entendus sur les termes d'un contrat d'une saison.
Le contrat rapportera 700 000 $ US à Belzile dans la LNH et 175 000 $ dans la Ligue américaine, avec un salaire garanti de 200 000 $.
