The Ducks complain too much, this results in officiating bias. It's how it works, it's how it has always worked at least for as long as I've watched hockey.
The real issue, the controllable issue, is the work ethic. A buddy of mine who rarely watches hockey said the Preds were outworking the Ducks. It's painfully obvious. I also think the Preds defense is better. Overall the Preds are just a better team who want it more.
I was at the game and thought I saw Cogliano get speared. It was behind the play so my eyes weren't focused on it, did tv catch anything? And what did Garbutt say/do to get the unsportsmanlike conduct penalty? I don't think BB let him play at all in the 3rd?
I'm fairly certain that Garbutt got that call for cursing lol... Like you said though, the refs definitely missed some calls but that doesn't define the outcome of the game.
