This is how I feel but on a lesser scale. Doing my best to clean and sanitize the common surfaces but that is not my job. I can only do so much. Management and even other co workers don't do as much as they should to keep things safe.
I appreciate having a job but more needs to be done. Money and health always clash. Now it is on a global scale and nobody at the top seems to realize you can't have one without the other. Health is sacrificed for money, Then health declines and effects the ability to generate money on a grand scale.
It seems like so few can put this simple causal chain together and it is driving me crazy. Your job is far more essential than mine. We need to keep the flow of supplies going. If that is disrupted than this problem evolves into something much worse.
that is what pisses me off
our cba expired 15 months ago
and my boss fought with all the bullshit he could find in order to keep the port open because in his mind it was 100% essential
so even after 15 months, we still didn't gain the right to do a strike because of that
and obviously, with the current situation..a strike is not an option
but anyway
here's what pissing me off
he spent millions in lawyer so we wouldn't have the rights to do a strike and shut down the port a couple days
and now that the port is actually really important
there's millions of mask coming from china for our health system
he's not willing to do shit, spend any money to make our job safer
fucking piece of shit
if he would just put 10% of what they spent in lawyer, the port would be much safer
but nop
he installed one single soap dispenser in every terminal
that's it
and half the time it's empty
and I could go on for hours about this kind of shit
