Shit son. Bet that hits close to home. Trudeau was saying yesterday how important and essential ports are right now. I bet they “thoroughly” clean and then you’ll be back to work

i'm telling you right now

we'll all refuse to work if major things doesn't change

it's actually harder to buy booze then it is to enter the port

not cool.

i will not work if things doesnt change

they weren't doing shits until not even a week ago
and it's still not enough but health canada kept saying "no danger no danger no danger"

so much we were to the point of..."we know they are not doing shits but you could get fired if you dont work now...so you gotta go back to work"

ans here we are now

criminal negligence
i would like to know the legal definition because this is it imo

Hey brother, I feel the same. Forced to go to work. Company only acknowledge there was a pandemic last week Tuesday. Havnt received any email this week in regards to covid. Head in the sand. All the while the higher ups are working from home and self isolating until this blows over.

This is how I feel but on a lesser scale. Doing my best to clean and sanitize the common surfaces but that is not my job. I can only do so much. Management and even other co workers don't do as much as they should to keep things safe.

I appreciate having a job but more needs to be done. Money and health always clash. Now it is on a global scale and nobody at the top seems to realize you can't have one without the other. Health is sacrificed for money, Then health declines and effects the ability to generate money on a grand scale.

It seems like so few can put this simple causal chain together and it is driving me crazy. Your job is far more essential than mine. We need to keep the flow of supplies going. If that is disrupted than this problem evolves into something much worse.

Unreal how many people are comitting fraud to collect no more than %63 of their pay.

Pathetic really

The thing is if it turns out you are not qualified you will have to pay the money back.

That has been clearly stated. The morons doing this will ruin themselves because having their wages garnished due to being unable to pay the money back

immediately will drive them further into poverty than they are right now.

You know the government will be fiending for money after giving so much of it away without planning for it, so this is not the time to try to get one over on them.

Daring the virus. Drove from Vancouver Island to Ontario. Just left thunder bay, heading to Barrie.

Fuck this drive SUCKS

Edit: not "daring" for shits n giggs. Fiancé's dad is in Barrie, going there for a few weeks as we're both laid off for the foreseeable future.

At least there is less traffic lol.

that is what pisses me off

our cba expired 15 months ago
and my boss fought with all the bullshit he could find in order to keep the port open because in his mind it was 100% essential
so even after 15 months, we still didn't gain the right to do a strike because of that

and obviously, with the current situation..a strike is not an option

but anyway
here's what pissing me off

he spent millions in lawyer so we wouldn't have the rights to do a strike and shut down the port a couple days

and now that the port is actually really important
there's millions of mask coming from china for our health system

he's not willing to do shit, spend any money to make our job safer

fucking piece of shit
if he would just put 10% of what they spent in lawyer, the port would be much safer
but nop

he installed one single soap dispenser in every terminal

that's it
and half the time it's empty
and I could go on for hours about this kind of shit
