"Even if we don't win in the next 1-2 years, I don't think our rebuild will take as long as some others with some key pieces already in place:"

Very true imo LULER

It will be nowhere near as big of a mess it is in Calgary for example...

in 3 years the team can rebound and make the playoffs routinely if the current team falters.

Like you said we have some good young pieces, so the transition will not be as painful.

Calgary's is a mess because of their management. We don't know how MG will handle a rebuild 'cause he's never been in that situation.

There's a chance he goes the toronto/calgary route and doesn't accept that the team needs a full rebuild lol. That's when trouble arises.

You already lost your whole top line to father time. Sedins won't even be good next year.

Doesn't make too much sense considering they are in top physical shape all the time (they are known for their conditioning) and their game is based on skill and not at all on speed.

Obviously they aren't as good as him, but a good comparison is Lidstrom; he was able to play at an elite level until 40 because his game was never based on speed or physicality.

Kovalev game wasn't based on speed only skill and he still fell off. and he was a hundred times more skilled than the sedins. Just played in divisions that actually had goaltending.

Kovalev's a lazy douche lol

On the other hand, the Sedins are well-known for their intangibles.

Canucks D-man Alex Edler declared fit to play
http://www.theprovince.com/sports/Canucks+Alex+Edler+declared+play/7710552/story.html

Great news for us, one of the only good things to come out of the lockout.
That and Kesler may finally be healthy again ... maybe lol

Raymond just signed a contract to play in Sweden - so I assume he's ready to play again, finally too lol

Kesler is still "months away" from a healthy return, and I seriously hope he doesn't come back early again
last time he did that he played for months while being injured, didn't help us one bit just fucked him up worse
