Bolts can't afford stamkos at more than 9 and even that'she pushing it when you look at what they need for the next 5 years. Someone will give him 11. He's got one foot out the door. My guess is still a traded before FA for a couple picks vs his re-signing rights.

Beat me to it.

Losing Quincey is needed for numerous reasons.

I'd like to keep Richards personally though. I think he was misused on the PP. we have new pp coaches now. But I get it.

EDM and Zack Kassian are closing in on a one-year deal, something around 1.5 mil.

He had a decent stint with the Oilers this season. Hopefully he gets his life together. He can be a versatile player for any team.

Quincey will get paid somewhere to be a reliable 2nd line D. Richards makes sense, the phrase "youth movement" roughly translates to "probably not competing for a few more years."

Plus his signing bonus money from the NYR contract goes down next year so he doesn't have the luxury of being able to take a discount but still make just as much money. Someone will pay him 4-4.5 to be a veteran depth center.
