Have been trying to work out a contract for over a year but haven't been able to get it done, just like ROR.

Of course he wants to much money. He's not worth high money.
His defense lacks big time but I'd much perfer him over johnson anyday.

Tbl wants a defenseman. Tyson barrie is RFA.

Drouin played juniors with MacKinnon.

Without Barrie, avs still have 7 defenseman on the roster. They could (please) take Quincy off of our hands and he can be reunited with Colorado lol

Wonder if drouin or yzerman want to end that relationship any more though. We'll see.

I thought Avs are dumping Barrie because he and Johnson are both asking for big raises and they cant keep both. Stevie has cap problems as it is with the triplets, Hedman, and Bishop all coming up for contracts so I'm not sure he'd want to throw $6.5m with decent term at Barrie right now.

Dropping Sustr that would mean their average dman makes over 5 million in 2017-18 (figuring 7.5ish for Hedman, just a guess)
