It's one thing if you're going fast. But I'm talking about people who drive slower than those in other lanes and backup the highway because they refuse to move out of the lane. I don't know about up by you, but around me there are very few left hand exits or turn lanes on highways, so there's no reason to be in that lane if you're going slow. State law in NJ (not enforced though) is actually stay in the right lane unless you're passing. If you're the fastest moving car on the road and not getting out of the way, whatever - I'll go around or sit a few car lengths off. I guess I should specify I don't keep the highbeams on so much as flash them a few times to try and get the person's attention. Seems to be very common around here that people forget they have mirrors and that there are other people on the road.

I don't really find people drive that slow in the left lane. Occasionally you get somebody who drives the speed limit in the left lane but those people usually get over when they get in front of the likely to be nearby big vehicle.

I just hate tailgaters, and they seem to want to tailgate me all the time. I'm tempted to get a vanity plate that says "IH8TLGTR".

I don't want people never hit me in the back, I just want them to get scared they are. Insurance is all well and good but your car will devalue.

If my truck or my non-daily car get in an accident and lose value, it's a big deal to me because I have too much money tied up in them to be able to OK with a hit to the value.

I care more about the principle. I've never gotten tailgated under the limit. It's always the asshole who thinks 10 over just isn't fast enough. Or it's the guy who thinks tailgating you is gonna make the guy in front of you go faster.

In the end they make you feel unsafe so they can get where they're going 45 seconds faster.

I guess I think about cars in a different way, since I work on them and build them ect.

they are consumables to me if it brakes fix it, I couldn't give a shit less about what it looks like as long as it works.

also if the rear end gets bent, Ill just cut it off and back half it and put shocks on it and sell it as a prerunner lol
