The concussion isn't what ended his career though. It's the damage to his eye and the related nerves that make him unable to play. Concussion sucked but it was definitely more than just that.

#Habs announce Brière suffered a concussion. Prust sustained an upper body injury; will be reevaluated Sunday. Will know more Monday.

Briere has a history with concussions too
