Hedman
Ekblad
Garrison
Stralman
Sustr
Coburn/Carle/Koekkoek/Nesterov

Perfectly okay that the deal didn't go through.

Thats not worth even half of ekblad.

Ekblad > the 1st overall this year.

Subban to Edmonton

Oilers need a D
Habs want Dubois , plus they'll get a first line forward in the trade

edit: Georges Laracque said on the radio that he had some source inside the habs that told him it would most likely happened(but he's full of shit so yeah..)

No thx keep the drama , would not pick him up if he was hitch hiking hwy 2.

Id aim for shattenkirk if the blues are still trying to deal him in the off season,
Hamonic would add some needed depth but the price being asked is likely to high, swaping kleftbom or nurse would be counter productive.

It isn't breaking news NHL has been looking at new N.A. development model that may incl 19-yr-old draft, but latest on that as follows:

Bob McKenzie ‏@TSNBobMcKenzie 8m8 minutes ago
NHL and vested interests - NHLPA, CHL, NCAA, Hockey Canada, USA Hockey etc - met in NYC today. Latest in a series of meetings on this.

Going into today's meeting, there seemed to be a sense group was gaining some traction on new model that could include a 19 year old draft.

Bob McKenzie ‏@TSNBobMcKenzie 7m7 minutes ago
No one has suggested NHLPA ready to sign off on anything yet. While it appears progress may be happening, nothing imminent/details scarce.

Today's meeting didn't focus on draft as much as other areas. Characterized as good discussion, some progress but it's an involved process.

Ex-NHLer Pat LaFontaine, now an NHL exec, is coordinating this rather massive undertaking. Potential for change is there but not guaranteed.

Heard this was coming, gonna be weird to see how they transition it. Either they skip a year, or have one year where the only players drafted are scraps from the prior year.

What's the pros of a 19 years old draft vs what's currently in place ?

I don't see why they need to change it.
