montreal is tanking for hughes m8 goal scorers = bad

They don't care about wasting Weber and Price careers

That’s the thing man.

It’s not wasting careers. Price is signed for an eight year extension. He put in his time, took the pay cuts and bridge deals, and home town discounts in the past. He took home some serious hardware and has taken over records in one of the longest running franchises in the NHL. He has one bad year after some injuries and a depleted unmotivated team in front of him, so what does he have to lose?

Price getting back in form, means he’s worth all the dollars and will be worth a lot to just about any team in the league if full rebuild is needed. There are abt least 5 teams right now that could be bonafide contenders if they just had someone good in the Pipes

Then there’s Webber. He’s kind of like that goody two shoes that is plenty good, sound defensively, and a capable player. He’s a top two defender in all but three teams. Moving Webber on won’t be difficult.

Thing is, both want to win, one is passing his prime, and the other might be in it right now; so if they want to go they will go

its not that weber and price arent good players; they certainly are. their contracts are too risky for most teams though. webers contract will be an anchor at some point and as good as price is, no one wants to pay that for a goalie. price can up his value by staying healthy and consistent, but webers is what it is and can only get worse imo
