Doubt anyone takes Cowen unless you're going to take a bad contract back in return. Or you'll have to give a good asset with Cowen and take nothing back in return.

Polak is a career bottom-pairing D-man... not exactly an impact player that will push you into the playoffs.
Besides, Canucks are willing to retain half of Hamhuis's salary
Although it doesn't really matter because I see Hamhuis going to a team like WSH or CHI if he does move.
