Price was average at best last year and theres no way to tell wether or not hes gonna perform next year. You're only as good as your last fight season
No, he's not. Not right now at least.

Lulz. He was average this year and before 2011. He had a couple elite-ish years but isn't established at all. I want him to succeed as much as you but he has absolutely not reached that level yet.
Brian Elliott would be an elite goalie by those standards, just saying. He had one good year. Ignore the .855 years he had before it.
ok then quick and rinne arent elite? all 3 goalies have similar regular season stats. apart from quick winning the Stanley cup, what would separate them from being elite or =/= elite? if we go by absolute proven elite goaltenders how many can we honestly name? brodeur? no one thinks miller is elite anymore because of a bad season or two? yet hes been solid as fuck during many parts of his career. is lolungo even considered elite anymore? he almost shit the bed during the olympics in 10' and he shit the bed during the SCF.
i understand goalies go through slumps, totally agree that can tarnish their status, but when i say elite, i dont mean it as in price is an absolute elite goaltender. i mean it as in hes got what it takes and compared to the rest of the goalies over the last few years hes been one of the biggest if not the biggest impact on his team during his career.
yea he had a bad year, 48 games isnt even quite a year. i think over time if he didnt get injured he couldve had a good chance to bounce back. when brodeur had that horrible start to the season 2 years back, no one was calling for brodeur status to be changed. he bounced back over time because hes elite.
