Make sure you do more than just running though, things like WT and HIIT will boost metabolism and burn calories for hours after you do them.
But yeah, diet contributes to 80% of losing that gut. That doesn't mean don't eat anything, but 3000 calories a day isn't optimal unless you're very active (more than a couple hours a day of intense activity)
Yeah i know i need to do better for sure, the summer is killer for me, consists of a lot of going out(Where im buying food rather than making) and a lot of drinking.
Ill be able to drop my calories down to 2000 when school starts(2 weeks)
And i do run quite frequently usually 8-10 miles a week. (A lot for me)
Im no overly fit guy, im a big football kind of guy, i just want to be more healthy than i am, off-season and summer times i usually put on a lot of weight and am not health conscious at all.
True, i should do HIIT but it so doesnt appeal to me lol, makes me want to cry inside.
I dont mind running i have a nice bike trail near my house with lots of wildlife etc, i should probably just kick it up a notch and try to do an extra mile everytime.
