Dahlen was really promising cuz he and Petey played together in the shl and also Dahlen hard carried his team to shl from minors without Petey the following year . It's too bad he couldn't handle the AHL coaching and bolted back. Seems like he's doing well, almost 80pts in 50 games.

Hoglander is awesome, he got sick hands, even more sick than Petey. Another creative stick handler, and also works hard along the boards despite his size. That would be a huge addition to the team, hopefully he can translate his game to the NHL. he's not shy to play physical despite being small, but he's 190lbs, heavier than Petey despite being much shorter. I think that's one of the biggest upside, he plays engaged and physical rather than a typical small skilled perimeter forward.

Those shorter players with the stocky frames can actually have an advantage in some ways.

Really good center of gravity and they just draw penalties because a shoulder to shoulder hit may look like a headshot lol.

Petrus Palmu is built like a fire hydrant. 5'6 175 lol. Looks like he is going be a career Liiga player though.

that's also why these small guys who tear up the minors rarely make it as far as the NHL... they'd get murdered by bigger guys moving and hitting faster.

Canucks fleeced Tampa with jt Miller, so who cares if they don't wanna ever trade with the Canucks again.

Tampa is in worse shape with their cap situation, and will most likely let go of cernak over the other players they gotta keep. So maybe offer sheet around 4m for 2nd Rd pick. He's only 23yrs old, rhd, 6'4 234lbs, eats a lot of tough minutes, blocks a ton and even has a decent puck moving skill too.

i think his stats would boost even more playing with hughes

u think other teams are willing to sign him for 5mil , 1st + 3rd round? lol i doubt it, i think tampa would gladly let him go for that

I think so, like 5M for 7 years to lockdown a young solid top 4 defenseman is well worth a late 1st + 3rd. enough money to give Tampa trouble matching but not enough to make him overpaid either
