If you go to your profile, then "Search All Posts". Costs 5 FG but it literally searched every post you've ever made in HnF :P

Read those posts man. Both of them.

Numerous people have messaged me over the years and said it helped them greatly or they were directed to them by someone and helped a great deal.

RZI I overcame and conquered anxiety with no medications. My father has been on anxiety meds since I was a kid and he's fairly emotionally numb now and if he stops taking the meds it's like a heroine withdrawal.
Unnecessary imo.

It takes a conscious effort every minute of the day.
You can do it.

Anxiety is a perfectly normal bodily function. It keeps you alive because it tells you when things are urgent.
Unfortunately, you've trained your amygdala (the anxiety thermostat of the brain) to misinterpret situations and say that they call for anxiousness when they don't.
The amygdala is one of the most "plastic" (see: brain/amygdala plasticity) parts of the brain.
Like a thermostat it can be programmed and set to certain temperatures if you will.
You can reprogram it. But it takes a stubborn pursuit on your own behalf. No hero can swoop in here and do it for you. You have to do it.

You can do it man. I am absolutely certain. Absolutely certain.

If you're struggling or need help/talk etc just msg me.

I've read what Stealth posted and it's 100% bang on. I used to suffer from Anxiety as well and certainly what Stealth is saying helped me overcome it and eventually live without it. I used to get myself so worked up about things that I would spend time freaking out, crying, sweating, etc etc.

Another thing that really helped me was steady exercise. I'm not sure what you're lifestyle is like, but I'd recommend you get out and exercise at least for 30 minutes every single day (more is better!). Go for a walk, run, bike, lift weights, play a sport, whatever. Being physically active really helps improve self image and self confidence which in turn helps with the anxiety.

Good luck bro. And like Stealth said if you ever want to message someone because you need some guidance dont hesitate to drop me a line.

I have some small anxiety that I can control most of the time. My anxiety actually makes me really good at work because I have a small stress on many things and makes me perform very well. My anxiety also helps me think things ahead of time (plan many possible situations) so I can react quicker to some things... it doesn't always have to be negative.
