Your logic is flawed, Demko will still have value because teams will know he will go to Seattle, if they dont try to offer for him, especially if their team is desperate for a chance of "goalie of the future"

At least that's my take, i'd say GMs would be incredibly stupid to willingly give him to Seattle instead of trying to improve their own team, knowing the fact that he may come cheaper than normal because of "losing him to seattle for free" mentality.
