Just amazing.

it took canucks just 4 years to make the playoffs again, and made it past 1st round already. It's more awesome they "experienced" couple series already against the wild and blues. Now they're gaining more playoff experience against the Knight's. It's going to be great for these young guys.

Im not sure how the team will look in the future though, with flat cap and having to sign markstrom (expose or trade demko?) etc.
Edler and tanev only getting older with no one to replace that foundation. Might be a short lived success, gotta enjoy it this year while it lasts.

Benning was targeted a lot by media and people for rebuilding the "wrong" way by oversigning vet players to overpaid contracts, to help support the young stars while not letting the team forget the competitive & winning culture despite being a bad team. These series so far showed how crucial they were in the series, and how these kids won't just bend over and give up. Also the Canucks never won lottery and got destroyed by the luck being forced to pick lowest possible for a few yrs, still came out with stealzzz

Insane stats man... Nearly double saves he had to make compared to the 3 tenders above. Posting over 90% on high danger chances itself is fucking ridiculous. 4.5 hdgsaa meaning, he made 4.5x more higher danger saves than an average goalie, 7+ gsaa, meaning 7 above average.. Completely playing out of his mind, I hope he continues. If markstrom does walk, I hope he goes to a team with much better d support so he can at least be in the vezina convo

I feel like stats can lie a bit. We complain a lot about turtling but we're good at taking away passing lanes and letting Marky see shots when they aren't blocked. Shooting from the hashmarks doesn't mean as much when you're stationary with no other options, so to speak.

High danger chance is still a higher danger chance, meaning all those 5+ insane saves that shoulda gone in stays out. You got goalies like binnington that xan see shots np from non higher danger spots and letting goals in np

Korpisalo is very similar to markstrom's performance aside from giving up way more rebounds and playing in a much more defensive system
