Yeah I really don’t like that straight drops happen a day after the transaction. It makes it imposssible to bring a guy off the IR or IR+ with a DTD unless the team has been extremely clear about them playing. Often miss a game before any news arrives.

Keep in mind the distinction between IR activations and free agency adds.

One problem w the daily add of FAs is that once they have played, they are locked until 3am EST meaning you can't do your free agency drops after their game. You have to wait until the next day and try to get it done sometime during or after the work day and before game time.
That's just one con of the daily FA add.
Another would be that you could add waiver goalies same day who have been confirmed as playing and count on that at the end of every week.
I would just keep a goalie slot rotating, adding good backups as I see they are confirmed. Takes away from needing to draft good goalies when you would just add whoever is playing. Yes it's a worse goalie in theory but still exploitable.

If you can make IR activations happen same day though, I think that would shore up any issues.

I've thought about this alot bc the 1k has the same day FA add by mistake and it has been more bad than good :)

At any rate, I think IR activation is it's own thing, which would be great.
