Well fought games, but a 6-1 massacre at the excel kinda proves your point wrong that the blues couldn't win there.

Winning on our home ice was the problem.

That was at dubnyks worst....

Yes, and today was Allen's worst.

That happens, but to say you guys cant be beaten at home was a bit over the top.

Haha in what way?

You're rattled. I would be too.

Because in the next game after you make that statement, the wild got embarassed at home.

I can accept that the wild won, but they aren't unbeatable at home.

You were wrong, but I still wish you guys luck vs Minnesota.

So the wild fans show up for playoffs and join fan threads to mock the team they just beat, classy.

Sorry for the loss Genetics, St.Louis just can't play playoff hockey, it's a shame.

offseason changes id like to see:

new head coach- i dont have anything against hitchcock. i think hes a good coach and i love listening to him talk hockey. however, i dont think his system works that well anymore in todays game. we won alot of our games vs the weaker western teams this year along with the east, but we struggled vs the better western teams for a reason. his system limits our offensive upside, and quite frankly i think its predictable.
the biggest indicator that its time to move on though is that the players arent selling out for the system. they dont fully believe that hitchocks system is the answer, which is why they make so many postgame comments (like oshie and stastny) with frustration, and also why they constantly abandon it and talk about how they werent in system after a loss. if the players dont trust it, theres no chance. the best guys out there for us are dan bylsma and mike babcock, but a more offensive system with anyone would excite me.

lineup shakeup- ok, so we spend big money on a top center in paul stastny, then we play him on the 3rd line all season while pairing him with patrick berglund? in my opinion, hes our best center. he needs to be playing with better players around him. i love jaskin with him, but any of our other top 6 or ty rattie/robby fabbri would be a big help for him.

potential moves- im not sure who can be moved and at what cost. we have quite a few NTC's, and quite frankly i like most of our core players. unfortunately, something has to happen though. whether its backes, oshie, bouwmeester, berglund, or even steen who i LOVE as a player, something has to happen. yes it all depends on return, but lets see what our management can do.

jackman is almost surely gone, which isnt a huge loss but i like him. as stillman said, lets not overreact so quickly, but were overdue for a deep playoff run and the disappointment has set in. next year is another year and tarasenko will be even a little better then, so hopefully thats our time.

Nah, I wasn't wrong. You're ridiculous on this matter.

Game 4 the Minnesota Wild came out flat. It was also the night in the series Dub was off. Which will usually happen in a series. This has nothing to do with the Atmosphere of a rink and home sheet advantage.

It was a coincidence to say the least that I posted their dominance at home and that they lost the following night. As what transpired in the future is concrete evidence.

The Wild almost stopped the Blues from scoring any goals in two games at the Excel in the series. That's dominating hockey.

Game 4 was bound to happen. Don't think that game 4 was any indication of how the series panned out.

Some day you'll get it and quit nit picking the stupid shit in life like it matters.

I wouldn't of posted this but your arrogant shit like " You were wrong " Because you think Game 4 was some miracle on ice by the Blues... It was a gong show.

you came in here with your arrogant post that nobody can go into the excel and win against the wild, and in the very next game, the blues beat the wild in convincing fashion.

it doesnt matter why, it doesnt matter how, all that matters is that you are dead wrong and now youre too stubborn to admit it.

bring some 3rd parties in here if you want and theyll tell you the same thing.

now move along, you have some arrogant posts to make in the chicago/minnesota game thread.

Posts like this become way funnier after the other team makes a come back.

Wore my blues hat for ya guys yesterday, but it didn't work :(

heres one more.

you can sit here and come up with excuses all day about why minnesota got their ass kicked at home in game 4, but you said teams didnt have a chance against them at the Excel, and the very next game they lost convincingly.

whether the goalie played poorly, the team had the flu, allen stood on his head, etc. it doesnt matter. they lost.

and almost shutting teams out is stupid. you either shut someone out or you dont. 7 goals in 3 road games for the blues isnt terrible, when minnesota scored 8, and of those 8, 2 were empty netters.

yea you guys are real world beaters on home ice....

minnesota is a much better road team than home team. its ok if you want to show some humility and admit you were wrong though.
