lol, well they didn't even need to add anybody honestly, Getzlaf and friends just needed to wake the fuck up. I still think they will make 1 more move though

I agree, but I can't remember the last time Murray ever went for a big name rental... If he does go for someone I bet it's someone signed long term

The Leafs kicked the tires on Bickell — who may be finished as an NHLer — and are waiting to hear back from Chicago.

(taking his contract for assets in return)


Bob McKenzie on Radko Gudas: "I heard some talk that the Flyers may have had an offer on the table of a couple of 2nds."

(could have been the Sharks before the Polak trade was made)

- Leafs had higher-ups scout the Blues/Sharks game. Earlier in the day Friedman linked Kadri to the Blues. Kypreos linked Kadri to the Blues last summer.

- Stars and Sabres have been scouting each other a lot, could be something brewing there. Stars are obviously buyers and Sabres are obviously sellers.

- Flyers GM Hextall says he will not be buying at the deadline despite his team's turn-around this season.

Some notes from Friedman's 30 thoughts:

- Another Hartnell to Nashville link.

- San Jose and Calgary are both looking for goalies. Calgary has asked about Pittsburgh's top goalie prospect Matt Murray.

- Vrbata possibly back to Arizona, especially if Boedker is traded.

- Gudas and Streit could be available.

- Rielly contract talks have begun (probably a bridge deal).


Larry Brooks: Rangers GM Gorton has told teams that Yandle is off the market for good.
