then Pearson gets called for a gigasoft penalty and another PPG for the Wild

Killed the momentum.

Canucks had some good shifts in the offensive zone and it looked like it was just a matter of time before the game was tied.

Now they are down 2 against a defensive team with only a period to go. Not looking good.

if it's any consolation, no one got hurt after tonight...

some bad luck, some bad execution, some bad players. really need to draw in Virtanen ahead of Sutter or Ferland and idk, shake of the rust and just not suck. dumb shit like Roussel spearing Hartman when he could've gotten a free PP out of it, the Too Many Men when we had the delayed call, so many good passes handled like a grenade for no reason, lots of good chances fanned on... etc. we also lacked speed to consistently attack like we wanted so it was kinda easy for the Wild to keep the game low-event in even strength.

playing Virtanen would help because a big problem was lack of speed in the bottom 6, like we'd have someone like Boeser or Hughes break the dump-and-chase deadlock for a shift with some good speed, then in comes players like Sutter, Ferland (fresh from injury tbh) and Beagle who the best you can expect from them is not getting destroyed once the inevitably lose the puck.

If they continue to play like they did yesterday, 0 might be better

They played like the puck was hot potato, none of them could accept a pass even if it's clean, always fumble and readjust gg.

Watching Hughes drop pass... :wallbash:

I think out of all the teams we could have played, Jets and Wild are our worst match ups, and those are the 2 teams we got to play (including exhibition). Unfortunate.
