Nail + 1st + Sekura for Subban would be a fucking brutal trade for the Habs. There is no chance that Subban gets moved unless one of McDavid, RNH, Hall or Eberle is included in the deal. You dont give up an elite defensemen for essentially a 1st and a surprise bag. Even if that 1st could potentially be 1st overall and be Matthews.

The more realistic trade which I've heard thrown around a lot lately was something like: RNH + Nurse for Subban, or RNH + Nurse + 2017 1st for Subban + Ehler/Weise

Russell for Nichushkin would be awful for Dallas lol. Nill seems like one of the smarter GMs... I don't see it.

Explain to me how Yak, Sekura and a 1st for Subban is a good deal for the habs to make? Because all I see is the Habs giving up an elite defensemen for the possibility that an 18 year old turns into Toews, and that Yakupov suddenly figures out how to play hockey again and puts up 50 goals.

Also most Oilers/Ducks fans agree Vatanen + a little add for RNH is a fair deal. For Subban you're looking at Hall status. A legit #1 d-man for a #1 winger.

Can't even imagine the package needed to get Subban. It would be similar to the offer you'd need to get Crosby, or Karlsson or something. Ain't happening.
