loot 2.0 is the console drop rate
they took out the Ah and upped the drop rates by a lot to compensate

but seriously? the AH has already done its damage why take it out now...
blizzard is so fuckin retarded ...instead of fixcing the problem they always do a temp fix that effects us as plkayers
they need to get their shit striaght and start fixing the real problems


e: wait i read the article ... basicly there taking out the AH to screw over the people that dont buy the expansion becasue they are introducing loot 2.0 in ROS
if you buy the expansion you find GG items easy as fuck... and if not your prob SOL playing classic with no AH to get gear

From what I understand, two things:

1) A lot less items dropping on the floor (like less than half of what it is now) but they are better on average.

2) Higher chance of an item being geared towards the class that found that. For example, if you find an item with a Wizard there's a higher chance it'll have an intelligence mod instead of strength.





Personally I think they should go with the D2 loot system; you go around killing things and in every run you only pick up a few things that you know have a chance to be good.

e/ but I guess for the people who have item base names memorized, they already do that.
