yeah but it shouldnt be boeser when it could be sutter, benn ,tanev, and other contractzz
also it's past the trade deadline so there was no reason for sekeres to start the rumor and people to actually believe it lol

if anything it showcased toffoli how crazy the media is here and a lot of bandwagon to ignite it
perhaps boeser lost some respect, and maybe has other thoughts after his contract ends now
or if boeser gets traded, petey gets mad

I think we will see management make some moves to keep as much of the core intact as possible.

That is going to mean trading away terrible contracts at the expense of draft picks/prospects.

I think its worth it. The team is good enough to be a contender, or in the very least a playoff regular for years to come with the current group.

Ferland has been deemed medically unfit to play.

Is this due to his ongoing concussion problems or is this just the league issuing a blanket statement because they think he may have Covid?

I don't think he has covid, he literally drove across Canada instead of taking the plane. It sucks if it's his concussion again, even with all those reports saying he's 100%, he clearly isn't.

Tanev seems very high on staying with Vancouver, and he himself said he expects players to take some discount and 1yr contract because of covid. So let's hope he signs like 1yr/2mil deal for next season.

Also sounds like Toffoli is looking for term, I hope the rumor of 5x5 is true. Although 5.5 would be the absolute max I'd go.

The flat cap has fucked a lot of teams, not just the Canucks. Cap space will come at a big premium, and the economic situation means some owners will want to be very careful with their money. OTOH it does make dumping Eriksson viable because he's pretty much all cap at this point, and maybe a scrooge team will want him on board to get above the floor while spending as little as possible. Big maybe, though.

Worst case, they buyout Sutter for 2mil in cap relief which is huge at this point for the Canucks lol

That is a good point. He is not owed much in terms of a dollar figure, it's just the anchor of a cap hit.

There will be teams not wanting to spend, so it could work to our advantage under the right circumstance.

Could be the last we hear about Tyramkin.

He is staying in Russia for another year.

He wanted a one way deal. The Canucks are already facing a cap crunch so there was no room at all.

I would like to see him come back for another shot. It seems the desire is there. I guess at his age he has no interest in a two way deal though.

Yeah after Rathbone signing and canucks suffering cap issues, tryamkin signed for 1 year in KHL only to see where the Canucks are at after next season, and try again.

I don't think it's just his age, I wouldn't want to relocate to another country to make less money, ride a bus and play in an inferior league. If none of these prospects pan out, tryamkin can probably make a solid replacement for benn at least when his contract is up

Petey is GOAT

https://mobile.twitter.com/JFreshHockey/status/1286134866703196160

Shows how much depth Colorado has compared to lolnucks.

The fact that Hughes is a year younger than makar, and the impact he made to the Canucks is crazy VS avs without makar on the ice.

Hockey is back soon!

I know it will be a lot different but I will still watch.

Never thought this season would happen. I was proven wrong.
