Fuck Adam Fox, and every draft pick who refuses to play for any NHL team but their 1# choice

i dont think it's really their fault for exercising their rights though, it should be on the players and owners for allowing it to happen lol. Plus Fox wasn't like Vesey totally trolling the fuck out of the team that drafted him, reassuring them MULTIPLE times that he will sign with them instead pulling out last minute rofl

The only minutes Trouba and DeAngelo soak for him are his power play time. Fox and Lindgren were the top pair at even strength by the end of the season.

nah, while its true Fox got more and more TOI as season progressed, Trouba and DeAngelo still soaked more minutes on average, and Fox was able to be deployed in more favorable situations because of the two.

here's the gamelogs
https://www.hockey-reference.com/players/f/foxad01/gamelog/2020
https://www.hockey-reference.com/players/t/troubja01/gamelog/2020
https://www.hockey-reference.com/players/d/deangan01/gamelog/2020

check their average TOI in season, and 4th quarter here:
https://frozenpool.dobbersports.com/players/adam-fox
https://frozenpool.dobbersports.com/players/tony-deangelo
https://frozenpool.dobbersports.com/players/jacob-trouba

fox actually had more PP toi avg than Trouba in the entire season, despite playing about 3 minutes less on avg in the season. I get what you mean though, towards the end his pairing was relied more heavily than troubas or deangelo's pairings.

hughes on the otherhand, he got the "rookie" treatment behind Myers/Edler to start the season.
He was given the 1D slot after the first couple months, completely changing the entire team's playstyle, and by outplaying the vets and his entire dmen by miles. (This is still accounting the fact that Edler played unreal before he got hurt), since then he has had more TOI than the vets as season went on and heavily relied on situations like defending against other team's superstars.

Still lame to waste a draft pick on a guy, then hear him say he’ll only play for the Rangers. Spend years developing him, and he says he’ll never sign with you or anyone but the Rangers. Trade him to the Canes, and predictably, he fucks them too. Lucky we got some good value out of trading him, but I’d rather have the player. If he wasn’t a spoiled brat.

yeah always sucks to lose a prospect, but at least you get something back.
We got fans in Vancouver that are upset for getting a established top 6 player, playing at ppg pace with his new team in Toffoli for Madden that showed signs of exploring FA as well.

Maybe the Flames should have done their homework before selecting him.

Really hope Toffoli stays.

He had chemistry with teammates from the start and his skill level was quite high based on previous statistics and what I saw when he played.

Petey, Horvat, Miller, Boeser, Toffoli with the last spot up for grabs to form a top 6.

With those players you legit have a chance at having five guys net 25 goals or more. That is pretty lethal and is not even an unrealistic expectation based on talent level and previous statistics.

Pearson would be the last spot, him and horvat are good duos. I think Toffoli would like to stay, the problem is if Benning can fit him under the cap with so much anchor contracts and overabundance of forwards he signed

If you guys have theatheletic, read the article:

"Closing argument: Breaking down why Quinn Hughes should win the Calder Trophy"

pretty much agree 100%, unbiased and straight up stats to explain why he thinks so, couldn't have said it better myself.

as long as either gets it, im happy

It is such a damn shame the cap is such an issue right now.

I was hoping the cap was going to rise quite a bit, but obviously due to economic damage caused by Covid that is not going to happen.
