Lmao so Eddie lack did an ama on reddit, someone asked what's his best luongo story:

"It was my first training camp and we are all in the locker room before an exhibition game. Darcy Hordichuck is like the only one talking and he's telling jokes and stuff and laughing. I could tell Lu was getting annoyed but he didn't say anything for a good 20 min. He finally had enough and stood up in front of the team and said: Don't worry boys this is gonna be Darcys last game with us. Next day he was traded.."

Gg no fucking chill savage

Similar question, but asking about any torts story

" Haha i like this one but only bc its not about me. We lost against Detroit 1-0 i think and we didn't play very good. Torts came in and said:

David Booth was our best player today! Thats great for David Booth but very bad for our team. I thought that was pretty funny"

Holy fuck these are great

lmfao iMAC with the bomb

"Juolevi was Benning’s choice back in 2016 because the GM wanted a defenceman and loved what he saw from the Finn at the world juniors. He could have chosen Mikhail Sergachev or Charlie McAvoy. Benning is believed to have gone with Brackett’s first-round recommendation ever since." - Iain MacIntyre

This is why we should be very, very ,very fucking concerned about Brackett leaving.

Now I can see a more clear picture of Brackett's frustration with this team/system.

- Does his job, scouts for months & gather with other scouts and come up with the best possible list that he thinks will give the highest chance of team success in drafting
- Benning sees a highlight on TV, knee-jerks = wants to pick the said player, ignoring the list
- Brackett has to convince him every fucking time, to just trust his staff and fucking stop knee-jerking

yeah, i'd wanna leave the team too lol.

I guess that recent rumor about broberg has more merit now, that Benning was knee-jerking hard on broberg's WJ highlight and wanted to pick him but the oilers took him so Benning had no choice but to take Podkolzin.
All the last home runs were all bracket's recommendation, i don't know why benning can't contain his knee-jerk =(

not surprising Benning overrides the experts because he was easily impressed. his ego won't let him admit he simply doesn't know his shit.

I still remember the Canucks draft video when Brackett & Benning were literally in disbelief that Hughes somehow dropped to them.
Before the detroit announced their pick, Benning asked Judd "Zadina or Hughes?" cuz Zadina was ranked top 3 and dropped to 6.
Judd be like "hughes" with no hesitation, because he knows wtf he saw in hughes when scouting, just like what we witnessed in the NHL this season.
I wonder if Detroit passed on BOTH players, and Benning wasn't as high on Hughes, would this be a similar example of Judd's frustration? Like he recommends him to pick Hughes, then he goes up there to announce Zadina???
I'd lose my shit! haha

Judd Brackett part ways with the Canucks, GGnoRE.

At least another team can benefit from his home run picks.

Now the draft is gonna be 100% on Benning and Weisbrod.

The only saving grace of management has been drafting, and Benning dangled himself out of it. Incredible.

Makes me half-hope we get humiliated by the Wild so Aquilini finally does something.

The fact that Benning didn't go on mass trading spree to aquire ton of picks for highest chance to hit NHL roster players, and Brackett was still able to fill depleted prospect with his limited picks is incredible.

I don't think it's coincidence most of our high ranked prospects are related to college or reported as being bracket's pick (podkolzin)

I mean other than Juolevi, Woo and Lind... who else does the Canucks have from NA scouts over the years? Seems like Rathbone and Rafferty made a bigger jump than those guys already.

Enjoyed reading all of those quotes haha. Just seeing them now.

Sad to see Brackett go.

Meddling ownership/management appears to be the reason.... Still think that is the reason Trevor Linden stepped out as well.

At least we got some home run draft picks to build the team around.

Cap management is our biggest enemy. Talent is there to be a winner without question but there is a lot of anchor contracts that could force great players out or cost us early round draft picks to remove.

Think Hughes has a good shot over makar for the Calder? Here’s an interesting stat. Colorado’s PP was down 3% this year compared to the year before whereas Canucks was up 7%. Common denominator was both guys ran their power-plays :p
