It's awesome when people suggest giving away the players they don't want as if other teams value those players highly.

its not that i dont want them i just want the other prospects more
haggs a decent prospect he was a 2nd rounder expected to be a late 1st and has been playing in our ahl for 2? seasons now
laughton was a mid round 1st rounder thats in the nhl for us hes still young and has potential to grow

there not bad by any means hey are just the 2 more expendable prospects that should have value imo
but i feel like morin provorov sanheim and gohst are all untouchable until we see what we got
even konecny they traded up to pick him dont see him being trade able

I think Jets are going to sign Buff, but yeah that's a valid point if they don't

I dunno. He has refused many offers. Looks like he wants out.
He knows he'd get paid big if he goes fa.

Friedman on Hudler:

" Looking to see who takes a shot at Jiri Hudler. The hardest thing to do in this league now is score, and he can do it. It makes sense for the Wild, although they prefer size, too. He hasn’t been himself this year, and some of that undoubtedly is seeing Dougie Hamilton and Michael Frolik get paid while he hasn’t. The writing is on the wall. Get him into a new situation where he can score a couple of big goals and he’ll be motivated to do it."

I imagine Hudler's value is similar to Vrbata's, which is about a 2nd round pick. Hudler might get a little more now that's picked it up a bit.

Top 10 in scoring last year, he's gotta be worth a 1st imo.

Bergevin told a couple of potential pursuers that Alex Galchenyuk was not available. The Canadiens don’t have many forwards with his potential of size and speed.

Despite that, it sure sounds like if Galchenyuk was a golfer, he’d be “on the clock.” I don’t think, however, this patience is limitless. If his inconsistency continues, there’s going to be a point where Bergevin listens, maybe as soon as the draft.

As for other moves, the bet here is Bergevin waits to see how Carey Price feels.

1st for Sekera
2nd for Bieksa
2nd for Baertchi
2nd, 3rd for Glencross
1st for Vermette

I could see Hudler for a 1st, not sure about Vrbata tho imo

The only comparable there is Vermette and he's a much different type of player and Chicago was in a special situation being a contender that was somewhat weak down the middle.

It's not out of the realm of possibility because as we all know GMs make retarded trades (you mentioned 2 there), but I doubt most GMs are looking at Hudler as the 70+ point guy he was last year instead of the 50~ guy he is this year.

Those are pretty much all overpayments though. No year is the same.
